Hey Cupcakes!
So I woke up this morning to more rain and a mind-blowing (albeit sexy AF) very Controversial piece from Stripper-turned-model-turned-Muva maven Amber Rose as she announces her 3rd annual Slutwalk 2017.
This year it was with a picture of her 'bush' which she posted on her Instagram and twitter accounts respectively. Of course the picture was deleted by Instagram, but that didn't stop it from going viral. As a matter of fact, the picture inspired its own challenge, with thousands of fans —and haters— posting up their own versions on social media with the hashtags #amberrosechallenge #amberroseslutwalk.

The infamous Slutwalk was launched in 2015 as a light-hearted event with a serious message: "raising awareness about sexual injustice and gender inequality." Thousands of protesters, including multiple celebrities, join Rose each fall carrying signs protesting sexual violence and the shaming of women who embrace their sexuality.
To be honest, I've been a distant admirer of Amber. Not for anything other than her boldness, brass and super confidence in herself and her body. From her hair cut to her looks, she is feisty! Oh, and I read her book too, How To be A Bad Bitch. I felt it was honest and showed her to be more than just an ex-stripper or a pretty face with a gorgeous body. But this one shaaa....Odi Egwu.
The nudie she posted up was in protest to women being subjected to certain acceptable standards of beauty That is, being told what to wear, how to look and where to shave. On this subject though, I've got just three things to say:
- Girrrrrrrl, Your body is L.I.T a.f!!!
- Do ya thang girl!
- No thanks, I won't be Joining your challenge though. If I were my boyfriend, I won't want hair in my food.😜
FYI, Amber Rose's Slutwalk celebrates its third year Sept. 30 - Oct.1 at Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles. Here are a few of my fav pictures from the #amberrosechallenge.
The thing I find most hilarious about this entire business is, despite the removal of the actual picture and the still trending follow-up pictures from the #amberrosechallenge, social media (especially Africans) have taken to literally 'covering' Amber up. With African prints nonetheless and a #coverupamber hashtag. Here are some pictures:
What's your take on the bush though? Yay or Nay?
