Ghana based luxury women’s fashion brand Christie brown has just released their eye catching ready to wear Winter’15 collection, dubbed Coup De Classe. Modeled by our very own Nigerian Victoria Michaels, the collection is by far one of the best I have come across this year.

The brand states that their aim is to infuse modernism into carefully selected traditional African aesthetic that transcends international borders and also about allowing women to experience the culturally rich and opulent side of Africa without having to compromise their personal contemporary style.

The truth of this statement is made evident in this new collection which is a refreshing mix of modern and local fabrics. It offers a classical contemporary and modern vibe with  each piece.

The design aesthetics is as structured as it is simple. It features a simple pencil skirt, overlaid with geometrical edges. High low detailing is observed in the peplum hems and the dresses. Scalloped edges, sheer accents, flared cuts, full skirts, and a jumpsuit which is a perfect match of bold and printed fabrics are part of the offerings of this collection.

Prints in the form of Gingham, hounds-teeth and checkers are expertly mixed with African fabrics which gives it its Afrocentric vibe. I am officially in loooove with this!

American reality TV star, Kylie Kristen Jenner of Keeping Up with The Kardashians, has just released her Lip Kit collection, titled Kylie Lip Kit.


Also she took to her official KLK page to tell us a little bit of what to expect inside the kit and where to shop them. When asked whether it includes lip glosses, lipsticks, or pencils, she told Yahoo:

“I’m going to keep that a secret, but it’s a kit and I am super invested. I have been going to the factories, making the shades perfect, because I’m super particular about my lip color. I wanted to make three perfect shades to start off.”



The lip kit includes lip liners, matte liquid lip stick, lip glosses and swatches and can be bought online across the world for only $29 each.

DEREK and HANSEL are back, tearing up the runway  and making fun of the fashion world. Not that the fashion world isn't a prime target for satire, but the 2016 upcoming release of ZOOLANDER II (AKA2OOLANDER), starring BEN STILLER and OWEN WILSON, aside from being wildly hilarious is stirring up a lot of controversy along the way.
This is as a result of an androgynous character starred in the movie named ALL, played by BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH.
And that just not alright with some people. In the trailer, Derek and Hansel ask All if s/he is a “male or female model”, to which All replies, “All is all”. Still unsure, Derek and Hansel ask, “Does the biggest supermodel in the world have a hot dog... or a bun?”

“Offensive,” says Sarah Rose, who began the boycott, concluding by saying that, “‘All’ is an over-the-top, cartoonish mockery of androgyne/trans/non-binary individuals and the modern equivalent to using blackface to represent a minority.”
But neither Stiller nor Wilson have ever subscribed to political correctness… and it is satire after all (or should we say, “after ‘All?”).

On Acting Starwars:
'The opportunity to play a CGI character for me was the opportunity to not be limited by my physical circumstances. I could experience being bigger or smaller, something totally different to who I am. And of course its in a galaxy far, far away.'

On Insecurities:
'[Living in Mexico as a child] people would stop and take pictures of us just because we were black. And it was a time during that tricky adolescent phase when you're coming into yourself and trying to pave your own way but you're insecure about where you lie. It devastated me'

On Fame:
'I don't think being conspicuous is a state we're supposed to live in, or at least not permanently. I wish there was a dial we could turn up and down. And in a sense I can by making very deliberate choices about what to do and how, and with whom.'

Welcome to the very festive month of December. It is that time of the year when christmas songs fill the air, prices compete with the clouds, when all your besties get married (or engaged) and you find yourself spending thousands on hair and aso-ebi. Most importantly, we are in that month where the main chicks get to flaunt their bae to the Family. And Facebook. And Instagram.

And the Side Chicks? 

Well, let's just say you need me right now. After loads of  research and questions asked to males and females, The answers to your "my husband must locate me this December" prayers has just arrived. If you want to make it out of the side-chick zone and into that enviable spot of the main chick, You better Smarten up and Pay Attention. 



First, let's clear the air:
"There is no such thing as a main chick. If there's more than one involved, then everybody's a side; one piece is just bigger than the other"— Derrick Jaxn 

Feeling relieved? Don't waste your breath. This doesn't make being a side chick Okay. It just tells You that you need to set your standards higher. Ever heard the expression "All or Nothing?"
Main chick or Side piece, you need to set yourself some good old standards hun. You need to show yourself some respect, realize that he would only value you as much as you value yourself.

2. Understand that you Lack the "IT" Factor

Ever wonder why he’s content with keeping you on the side? Doesn't it bother you that you’re good enough for him to get some quick beats, but not good enough to be the matriarch of his household?

The answer is simple. You lack “it”.
Now, I don’t think that there is a generally accepted definition of what “it” is. Most men define “it” differently. Some people have “it”, some don’t. His Wife/GF/Main One has “it”, while you attempt to trick him into thinking you are “it".

3. You Make Yourself Too Available.

Why would a guy who seems to have found the "It" Factor in his main chick would want some side action?
Err....Greed and something called the 80/20 theory. For those of you who are not familiar with the 80/20 theory, it is a notion which claims that you can only get 80% of what you crave from your partner. The other 20% ,you either live without or out source.
So what does a greedy guy who wants it all do? He gets himself some side action. And you make yourself available for it, doing the nasty little things they respect their main chicks too much to ask for. Even the boys confirmed it!




4. He Can’t trust you

After all the whistle blowing by all these secondary Beaux's, running amok in the news and gossip blogs exposing themselves and all the married men they done screwed, you think any man stepping out on his lady will trust you?
If he's cheating with you, he ain't gonna trust you. A thief NEVER trusts another thief. The sooner you understand that , the better for all.

5 . You Think He’ll Drop The Wife/GF for You

Somewhere within the side chicks mind exists a fantasy world in which their love interest falls in love and leaves their current situation to be with them. Too bad 9 times out of 10 this will never be the case.
For one, you are an extra curricular activity compared to the real life task that is their main piece. These side chicks don’t understand that men will tell them whatever they want to hear in order to keep them happy, and most times these words pale in comparison to the truth. You know he lives with his boo. You know he’s married. Yet you still think he’ll leave his situation when he has the best of both worlds? Leave his 80 for a 20?? Wake up and smell the coffee sweetheart! It ain't gonna happen.


6. You aren’t the only one.

What, you thought you were special? He's loving you up on the side and you feel all secure, get it straight sister, You may not even be the first option! He can dump you in a heartbeat and its on to the next girl on the call log. We live in a society based off of multitasking. Consider yourself managed adequately, especially if he makes you feel uber special and doesn’t miss a beat!

7.  You Have a False Sense Of Entitlement

These side chicks want all the expensive gifts, first class trips, all their needs and the world at their feet for their pain and suffering. May I remind you, that The main definition of side chick is secondary. Substitute. Supplimentary. Second/Third/Fourth tier.

You are the "jara" a man demands for when he buys some suya from the local suya guy just because he’s greedy and on his fat boy flow.
You are NEITHER the cabbage nor the onions because they come with the Suya. You are not entitled to anything but a hard dyck and what ever he decides to give you.
You should not expect the world from a man just because you give him a mere 20%. You're only presenting yourself as a drainage system and not wife/main chick material. You have to invest more in the life of your partner...

And for Pete's sake know yourself worth! You are too priceless to be picking up after another woman's sloppy seconds.

Love is a fickle thing. I agree. I've been through a whirlpool of relationships, and each time a promising romance crashes, I simple want to die along with it. For the next few days, I sulk with my favorite "down with love" movies, in my pyjamas, munching on a bowl of vanilla strawberry ice-cream from Coldstone.
That's classic.

While I agree that getting dumped is the very Worst thing, there are a few things you simply should NOT do in the event of a break up!


1. Do NOT throw tantrums on the streets!
What's with that? Just because he left you for some girl you're probably ten times better than is not enough reason for you to put yourself and your frustration on public display! Get your act together boo boo! Being like that is only giving him justification for leaving your ass.

2. Do NOT get yourself all dolled up on a Friday night only to wake up with a stranger in your bed after ten tequila shots. You'll only end up feeling used, dirty and cheap with a killer hangover for your efforts. And it sure won't bring your love back. Talk about a lose-lose situation.

3. Do NOT repeatedly text or call him begging him to take you back. I know your hurting baby girl, but doing that just comes off as being needy. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to make things work, but then, when the door gets slammed in your face one two many times, don't stand out in the streets begging for too long.

4. Do NOT stalk his house, his office and definitely not his mother! Have some pride will you?! It doesn't matter how attached his mom has gotten to you, she can't force her son to take you back if he doesn't want to. Neither will getting thrown out by his office security help your cause. It will only embarrass you and him.

5. Do NOT hide your number to call him just to see if he would pick up, or to hear his voice cos you missed him. That's just childish. But if your sole aim is to annoy him, be my guest *snicker*

6. Do NOT go around like a banshee breaking up his windshield or slashing his tires. If that doesn't spell out C-R-A-Z-Y-B-I-T-C-H, I don't know what else does.

7. Do NOT confront his new chick. That would only make you seem desperate and cheap. Have some class hun!

8. When it's over, say it's over. Do NOT go around pretending to still be dating him when he obviously isn't. Don't fall your hand like that.

9. Do NOT leave the house without putting some makeup on. And please throw on some sexy heels. Treat yourself at a spa. Go dancing. You just broke up, you're not dying.

10. Do NOT forget to have a good cry. It helps.

A few weeks ago, Kim Kardashian and her famous makeup artist,  Mario Dedivanovic held a master makeup class to share some makeup tricks and tips he uses to achieve Kim’s flawless look.

We all know Kim Kardashian always has immaculate makeup on, perfectly highlighted and contoured.  I mean, we all want that Kim Kardashian look, right cupcakes?

Well, here's the Gist.
Kim uses more than 40 products to achieve her signature look  - I know what you're thinking, my jaw dropped too. Although the individual prices are reasonable ( If you are willing to spend above $100 on a product, that is) but all products put together add up to a minimum of $1,676.72!

The cheapest product Kim has would be the Red Cherry Lashes at $2.99 (at least we have something in common!) and the most expensive product was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pro Eyeshadow Shade palette at $88.00.

Now, Mario let fly Some surprising tricks he uses on Kim  –

He has never used the famous Ben Nye Banana Powder on Kim! – He says it gives a yellow muddy look and is a no-no for him.

Mario puts a foundation everywhere! – Face, ears and even legs! “I want the skin looking as even as possible”.

He doesn’t use a primer. Ever. And that's because he doesn’t like any product coming between the foundation and the skin.

According to this famous makeup artist, Blending is bae. The makeup looks as natural as possible because Mario basically dedicates his time to blend!
He says “blend till your arms fall off”.

When applying foundation to the neck, Kim prefers it applied upwards to avoid wrinkles.

Bake! Bake! Bake all the pores and dark circles away! Now we all can approve of baking; if the makeup expert approves, who are we to say no? Heck, if Kim’s flawless look is a result of baking, who are we not to bake??

Mario highlights the face twice! By all means, do same!


Kim Kardashian and Mario Dedivanovic have built a very strong relationship.

Kim says  “He brings out what I see in the mirror — what I want to look like. I love that he makes me look very ethnic, and brought out my Armenian features. When he first did my makeup, I asked him to go with me to buy everything that he used. I asked him to move in with me when we first met! He even edits photos with me. I’ve never met someone who has the same eye as I. I think that’s very rare.

If that isn't love, then I don't know what is!
