The Scoop | 7 Things You Might Not Know About Caitlyn Jenner
June 06, 2015Why wouldn't you, when pictures of her constantly bombard your Instagram and bbm feeds.
This happens to be my favourite... Lol |
Ever since her official debut as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair July edition, Bruce - sorry, I meant Caitlyn Jenner has become the most talked about person in the world. She has even overshadowed Kim K, who, if rumours are to be believed, is expecting baby number two! Crazy right?
Nevertheless, here are some things you might have missed out in all the media frenzy surrounding Caitlyn.
1. She had a panic attack after the facial-feminization surgery - according to Jenner, she had felt the surgery would take only 5 hours, but it took 10 instead. She recalled waking up the next day thinking "what did I just do? What did I just do to myself" she told vanity fair.
Hmmm.... I personally think that question was rightly asked.
2. She flashed her new boobs at her son Brandon - upon acquiring new breasts, Jenner pulled up her top for Brandon to see, as he seemed a little confused at seeing her as Caitlyn.
3. Her mother still calls her Bruce - Esther, 88, admitted to having difficulties adjusting to the change and occasionally still calls her Bruce. On seeing Caitlyn for the first time, she had this to tell Access Hollywood,"she is beautiful! "
Esther maintains that she is genuinely happy for him - or her.
4. She gained 2 million followers on Twitter within four hours of the vanity fair cover release - apparently the world isn't as adverse to change as we would like to think. For some people, Caitlyn Jenner is a hero.
5. Donald Trump wants to hire her as a judge on his Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant - since the pageant is all about confidence and promoting women who are confident in their own skin, I'm guessing that Donald Trump feels she has a lot to bring to the table. According to Paula shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organisation, Caitlyn is thought of as 'courageous' and 'unique'. If she accepts, she will become the first transgender woman to ever hold such a position.
6. She has no regrets about becoming a woman - according to Caitlyn, being a woman feels better than when she won the gold medal in 1976. She is super excited about living her life as a woman; Free to walk on the streets without hiding from the paparazzi, free to have girls nights. Above all she hopes everyone is happy for her.
7. She hasn't had genital surgery - Caitlyn is officially a woman, hurray and congratulations, but it seems not all parts of her are in accordance as she still has a man's reproductive organ. My question is, assuming she was looking for love, who will she date? Man, woman or other?
Any ideas, cupcakes?
Stay stylish ❤❤
